Position Description:
As a core member of the BU Energy team this role is responsible for leading and coordinating strategic cross-functional projects that drive synergy realization and business integration. The Strategic Project Manager collaborates closely with regional and functional teams to execute growth and transformation initiatives - particularly those related to M&A, partnerships, global supply chain and business transformation.
Key responsibilities:
1. Lead strategic, cross-functional projects that enhance alignment, efficiency, and value creation across the global Power Generation business
2. Support and drive the execution of post-merger integration (PMI) efforts and ensure seamless collaboration across business functions and regions
3. Identify, track, and help realize synergies from strategic initiatives, including partnerships, acquisitions, and internal transformation projects
4. Manage project timelines, stakeholders, governance structures, and communication flows across central and regional teams
5. Act as a connector between strategy, operations, product management, and regional leadership to translate strategic intent into effective execution
6. Establish and maintain robust project tracking, reporting, and escalation routines to ensure transparency and momentum
7. Facilitate decision-making through structured analysis, risk identification, and clear communication with senior stakeholders
Qualifications:
8. Master’s degree in industrial engineering, Business Administration, Supply-Chain-Management, or a related field
9. 5+ years of experience in strategic project management, M&A integration, or transformation programsideally in the energy or industrial sector
10. Proven ability to lead complex, cross-regional initiatives in a matrixed organization
11. Experience in synergy identification, project governance, and post-merger integration processes
12. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to navigate intercultural and cross-functional environments
13. Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; good German language skills are a plus
