Quality Manager (m/w/d) - DE
We are looking for a passionate Quality Manager who will be responsible for managing a production team that is focused on the delivery of zero-defect products to our customers.
The Quality Manager is the quality expert that will communicate and execute the quality vision and strategy of the Group. In this role, the Quality Manager will work both independently and with his direct reports, along with the other departments, to ensure the conformity of the products we manufacture with the costomer's specifications and requirements.
In addition, the Quality Manager will define and implement quality improvement initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Be the point of contact for internal and external customers
2. Focus on customers and provide, in a timely manner, feedback for Quality Improvement.
3. Lead Quality initiatives
4. Maintain internal and external Quality Certifications
5. Define and implement quality plans to meet product standards and certification requirements.
6. Conduct internal quality audit
7. Work with internal and external suppliers to improve the quality of products
8. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
9. Work to improve processes and reduce costs by eliminating non value-added activities.
10. Lead cross -functional teams to contain product quality issues and drive root cause corrective action to ensure the defect does not happen again.
QUALIFICATIONS
11. Engineering degree (welding engineer is a plus)
12. Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
13. Demonstrated leadership skills
14. Stop-to-fix mindset
15. Understanding of ISO requirements
16. Excellent knowledge of lean BIQ philosophy
17. Excellent problem-solving skills
18. Excellent understanding of fabrications – Machining, Welding, Assembly and Painting functions
19. Understanding of APQP principles
20. Good communication, interpersonal & teamwork skills
21. Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers
22. Ability to analyze data and create reports
23. Experience with operating Metrology Equipment.
24. Fluently speaking German and English
