Responsibilities:
Business Partnering
1. Engages and collaborates with business teams for regional procurement and project execution
2. Partners with business leaders, and other key stakeholders to execute capital and operational purchases that deliver cost savings, reduce supplier lead times, and improve vendor performance & quality
3. Ensures appropriate supply agreements are in place and guides internal teams how to monitor adherence to the terms of the agreement
4. Aligns with internal customers regarding best negotiation positions and provide stakeholders with a balanced view of contract risk and liabilities
5. Directly engages suppliers at the appropriate levels to influence the best outcome for Equinix that exceeds the business requirement
Project Execution
6. Utilizes a global perspective in the execution of procurement strategy within the region
7. Delivers procurement goals, metrics, and work plans to meet operational objectives
8. Communicate and collaborate with all key stakeholders to ensure alignment of the overall strategy
9. Communicate and implement strategy effectively throughout the relevant regional procurement teams
Cost Savings
10. Negotiate, drives and delivers cost savings opportunities aligned with organizational commitments
11. Develops cost savings proposals and interacts closely with suppliers, and internal customers, to achieve the cost savings
12. Creates and maintains cost forecasts (reduction or increase) and cost-tracking for the region
Supplier Management
13. Builds and maintains supplier relationships and drives improvement in the areas of cost, risk, and quality
14. Identify and mitigate supplier risks in the areas of financial, capacity, location, single sole source, spend, and revenue, etc.
15. Educates suppliers on the mechanics of doing business with Equinix
16. Act as focal point to the supplier for any supply related matters (e.g. billing, RFQ, and contracting)
17. Supports selection of new suppliers
Contract Management
18. Responsible for all relevant documentation execution including contract SOW signature, supplier certification including insurance & ISO documents
19. Partners with Legal on the contract lifecycle
20. Works with business partners to develop and agree SOW, business and commercial requirements
21. Negotiates contract details with suppliers
22. Manages business requirements for Order Management
23. Initiates supplier creation where applicable in the Source to Pay systems
Qualifications:
24. Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience. Master’s degree in a technical or engineering field or MBA. CIPS qualification is a plus.
25. Demonstrated experience with large-scale industrial engineering and construction programs, preferably data centers
26. Mininum of 3 years’ experience in Construction Related Project Execution
27. Experience in commodity or supply chain management, commercial management, cost consultancy, procurement execution, category management and/or contract management preferred
28. Experience working with Office Package, Power BI, Coupa, Anaplan will be a plus
29. Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence
30. Goal and team-oriented, proactive, and willing to learn & improve
31. Flexible and adaptable to a fast changing environment.
