Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Commodity Manager to oversee the procurement and management of wind turbine components. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality materials.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute commodity strategies for wind turbine components.
2. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
3. Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance, quality, and delivery targets are met.
4. Conduct market analysis to stay informed about industry trends and price movements.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and logistics, to optimize the supply chain.
6. Monitor and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions.
7. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
8. Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
Requirements:
9. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
10. Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or commodity management, preferably in the wind energy sector.
11. Fluent in German (both written and spoken); proficiency in English is an advantage.
12. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
13. Proven track record in managing supplier relationships and achieving cost savings.
14. Ability to analyze data, conduct market research, and make informed decisions.
15. Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
16. Willingness to travel as required.
