Experienced Commodity / Account Management & Strategic Sourcing professional, overseeing supplier selection and contract negotiation. Responsible for partnering with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and improve sourcing strategy.

Requirements
1. Bc./Masters degree and several years of experience in strategic procurement within an industrial company—ideally in purchasing of merchandise or indirect sourcing.
2. Solid knowledge of business administration.
3. Experience with Contracting, Procurement and Supplier negotiations.
4. Experience with Strategic Sourcing Software.
5. Great Excel background (pivot tables, forecast models, Data modeling).
6. Project management and analytical skills.
7. Fluent English – spoken and written, German or French – as a big advantage.
Responsibilities
8. You will be responsible for the strategic alignment and achievement of targets for the product category across multiple locations.
9. Oversee the regional procurement of merchandise categories, including indirect sourcing.
10. Lead the selection and continuous development of international suppliers and manufacturing partners to optimize the supplier portfolio.
11. Contribute to cost reduction projects, perform supplier controlling, and handle contract negotiations including the conclusion of framework agreements.
12. Manage cross-functional interfaces with all procurement departments and partner companies within the group, aligning the product category strategically with corporate objectives.
13. Demonstrate a high level of commitment and possess a strong service-oriented mindset.
14. Plan, develop, and implement strategic initiatives to optimize the commodity group, including supplier classification (Supplier Pyramid).
15. Design, coordinate, present, and advocate for the procurement strategy to senior management (including Purchasing and cross-functional teams).
16. Conduct contract and pricing negotiations and define global terms in alignment with the lead negotiator.
17. Monitor and analyze the global procurement and raw materials markets, competitors, and relevant indices (Benchmarking).
18. Facilitate cross-functional exchange of product group-specific information (e.g. CS JourFix).
19. Prepare the supplier longlist as part of the Source-to-Contract (S2C) process.
20. Manage RFI & RFQ procedures in collaboration with the lead negotiator (e.g. dual sourcing strategies).
21. Work closely with Project Procurement during new development (e.g. selecting development partners).
22. Perform cost analyses to optimize costs with existing suppliers, in consultation with the serial purchaser and lead negotiator.
23. Support Supplier Quality & Development (SQ&D) in coordination with the lead negotiator.
24. Participate in supplier audits.
25. Manage risks through initiatives like supply chain screening.
26. Hold regional responsibility for the commodity group and its related objectives (including tracking and reporting).
