Your Job
1. Overall coordination of IT projects focusing to support Munich Re’s Corporate Underwriting Department.
2. Responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation & satisfactory completion of medium- or large-scale IT projects according to agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum/SAFe)
3. Acting as Agile Coach / Project Manager for an agile development team including coordination/handling of the project backlog
4. Accountability for creation of project charters and effort estimations within the scoping and budget approval process
5. Initialization of IT projects according to approved project charters and particularly manage the staffing of the project team
6. Transparent and consistent communication with the senior project stakeholders in Business and IT and achieving alignment with neighboring projects
7. Accountability for project budget and reporting and delivery of project goals in time and budget
8. Identification, assessment and management of risks and issues to the success of the project
9. Coaching of more junior Project Management colleagues in the section
Your Profile
10. Several years of experience in IT project management, preferably in application development and hence in-depth knowledge of the processes of the entire software development and product life cycle
11. Demonstrable experience in large-scale agile project management methodologies
12. Excellent communication skills, strong experience in the management of diverging interests of various senior stakeholders, ability to set strategy and priorities in a pragmatic and efficient way combined with profound cost consciousness
13. Track record of successful implementations that delivered value to the business, resulting in measurable business outcomes
14. Consulting and collaborative working style creating a culture of accountability and sharing;
15. High degree of commitment and the willingness and ability to master the various tasks are essential
16. Good understanding of Underwriting and/or RI core business processes
17. Experience with Azure DevOps (Boards, Backlogs, etc. ) or similar tools
18. University degree, preferably in Computer engineering / IT or similar qualification
19. Fluent command of German (nice to have) and Business English
