As a Product Owner (m/f/d), you will drive the strategic and operational development of a complex software platform for high‑speed banknote systems. Working closely with Product Management, Architecture, and cross‑functional engineering teams, you will shape sustainable platform solutions across multiple product lines — from vision and roadmap to delivery on the machine.
Your responsibilities
1. Partners with the PM organization on product priorities and roadmap and contributes to the platform vision across three product lines.
2. Ensures functioning interfaces to program management, system engineering, integration, system testing, and the software platform management team.
3. Owns and manages the Team Backlog end-to-end: elicit, Refinement of customer features with the team into an implementation plan and corresponding work items that meet the quality criteria (DoR/DoD).
4. Is responsible for solid forecasting of our multi-month customer release cycles.
5. Acceptance of work items on reference machines collaborate closely with test automation and machine/system testing.
6. Align technical priorities with the software architect: non-functional requirements (latency, reliability, security), technical debt, and machine-control/sensor integrations; ensure testability and operability.

Your qualifications
8. 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner in a hardware‑related software development environment; strong hands‑on experience with Scrum and Kanban (Scrumban).
9. Solid technical literacy in software architecture, APIs, and CI/CD; comfortable collaborating on firmware and driver interfaces and balancing non‑functional requirements, testability, operations, and compliance.
10. Strong backlog and requirements management skills:Well‑structured user stories and acceptance criteriaEffective backlog refinementConfident prioritization using methods such as WSJF or MoSCoW.
11. Experience working in scaled or platform environments with multiple teams, including dependency and release coordination.
12. Hands‑on experience with quality assurance and acceptance testing on machines; familiarity with test automation is a strong advantage.
13. Excellent communication, facilitation, and decision‑making skills; structured and data‑driven working style.
14. Proficiency with Jira or Azure DevOps, Confluence, and Miro.
15. Relevant certifications (e.g., PSPO, CSPO, PSM, KMP) are a plus.
16. Very good command of German and English, both written and spoken.
