Responsibilities / Tasks
1. Take ownership in identifying leads and help developing these into tangible sales opportunities
2. Be responsible for managing the sales pipeline
3. Participate on international tradeshows as product specialist, build up and maintain customer relationships
4. Act as the primary link between offices, customers, agents, and internal departments (Engineering, Marketing, Order Management, Application Engineers, Planning, Trial Centre) to ensure a smooth sales trajectory
5. Support projects such as the implementation of guided sales methodologies, enhancement of quotation quality, and development of presentation materials together with marketing
6. Central management of key global accounts for slicing & packaging, maintaining high-level relationships and understanding their unique business needs
7. Coordinate internally and externally to ensure seamless communication and service delivery, actively pursuing opportunities to deepen GEA's partnership with these accounts
Your Profile / Qualifications
8. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial engineering or equivalent in a relevant technical or commercial discipline
9. Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a sales role, mechanical engineering within the manufacturing industry
10. Strong technical understanding of mechanical engineering specifically slicing & packaging for food applications
11. Proven track record as a proactive sales engineer, possessing strong initiative, persuasive communication skills, and high commercial acumen
12. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy in all sales-related activities
13. Flexible, regarding working hours in terms of different time-zones to accommodate international travel and varying customer needs
14. Fluent language skills in English and German (written and spoken); proficiency in French or Spanish is beneficial
15. Travel Requirements: Up to 50% international travel
