Team / division overview
DWS’ Business Transformation Solutions (BTS) is supporting the business strategy implementation and transformation efforts of DWS’ front office divisions (Product Division, Client Coverage Division, Investment Division). To ensure that DWS is delivering on its objectives, often communicated vis-à-vis the capital market, the Programme Execution team supports executing change and business growth by driving strategic projects in a first time-right, fast-paced, and global environment, reporting results into the Executive Board.
Your responsibilities:
As our Senior Project Manager, you will:
1. Deliver tangible implementation solutions and drive execution of programmes: Accountable for the delivery of the agreed project outputs, working with stakeholders to meet project scope, timeline, and budget. Accountable for deliverables as agreed with owners and business / functional heads.
2. Create impact through business transformation solutions: Develop concrete solution proposals and support business owners in their implementation. Drive the supporting change using state of the art change management capabilities.
3. Stakeholder management: Drive independently project working groups, efficiently run project meetings with senior stakeholders. Support and promote the Team’s agenda with senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external partners to ensure delivery on project objectives, expectations, and focus areas.
4. Practice management: Apply efficient project management tools and deliver outputs in line with the best practices of the team, driving quality and pace. Provide coaching and support to the junior team members, graduates, interns, etc.
5. Communication: Ensure regular and transparent communication with all BST stakeholders through updates, reports, and presentations.
We are looking for:
6. Experience: 6+ years’ experience in the financial services / asset management industry, ideally including more than 2 years in asset management. Experience in a top consultancy firm is a plus.
7. Execution excellence: Demonstrated ability & track record of delivering high quality results against challenging timelines. Ability & track record to successfully manage diverse stakeholders in a project organization, up to ExBo-1 level.
8. Academic requirements: Tertiary degree in a Finance-related discipline. Post-graduate academic achievements, such as an MBA, are a plus.
9. Industry knowledge: In-depth understanding of the asset management sector, including business environment, trends, and challenges.
10. Analytical skills: Proven expertise to develop and foster implementation of conceptual solutions to strategic firm-wide challenges. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex data to inform decision-making.
11. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convincingly present to senior executives across the organisation, both in English and in German. Ability to structure highly complex information and matters, and to condense complex matters into convincing presentations. Experience in moderating difficult discussions or meetings with the required conflict resolution skills.
