The Role's Impact
As Product Owner at ilert, you'll be at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, directly influencing how thousands of companies maintain their critical services. Working alongside our CEO and engineering team, you'll transform customer needs into features that make a real difference in how companies handle incidents and maintain service reliability.
A Day in the Life
* Start your day reviewing the product backlog and preparing for a focused sprint planning session
* Collaborate with engineers to break down complex features into actionable tasks
* Connect with customers to gather insights about their needs and pain points
* Work with our CEO to align daily decisions with long-term product strategy
* Write and refine user stories that will shape the next generation of our platform
Core Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Execution
* Develop and maintain quarterly roadmaps aligned with company objectives
* Transform high-level product vision into detailed technical requirements
* Track and measure feature success through defined KPIs
* Lead sprint planning and backlog grooming sessions
Product Marketing & Documentation
* Create compelling copy for new features, clearly articulating value propositions
* Collaborate with web designers to develop feature announcement pages and marketing materials
* Produce video demonstrations showcasing new features and their benefits
* Own and maintain product documentation to ensure it's comprehensive and up-to-date
* Craft release notes and feature announcements for various communication channels
Stakeholder Management
* Work directly with the CEO to execute product strategy
* Serve as the bridge between customer needs and technical implementation
* Maintain clear communication channels with all stakeholders
* Gather and synthesize customer feedback to inform product decisions
Quality & Process Excellence
* Ensure delivered features meet high-quality standards through thorough acceptance criteria
* Drive continuous improvement in our development processes
* Maintain a well-organized and transparent product backlog
* Facilitate effective user acceptance testing
Required Qualifications
* 3+ years of product ownership experience in B2B SaaS
* Proven track record of shipping successful features in a fast-paced environment
* Strong technical aptitude with ability to discuss complex features with engineers
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* Strong writing skills with ability to create clear, engaging product content
* Experience creating product documentation and marketing materials
* Ability to translate technical features into clear customer benefits
Nice-to-Have
* Experience in DevOps, incident management, or related technical domains
* Background in software development or engineering
* Experience in B2B enterprise software
* Content creation skills (copywriting, technical writing)
