Scope
As a Product Manager – Ocean Freight, you will drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the global ocean freight team using the Agile methodology. You will be required agile proficiency and skills as a scrum master to help define product strategies and implementation of the global directives and projects. You will be instrumental in organizing efficient, Agile product meetings and potential industry event participation, fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment.
Responsibilities
Product Management:
1. Take the leading role in shaping and translating long-term product strategies into executable projects and/or products
2. Drive strategic and operational projects to support the global ocean freight teams at both local and regional level
3. Lead, organize, and plan the assigned product development project, which includes business process, workflows, and user analyses
4. Define and evaluate wireframes, validate proof of concept, and work closely with the development team upon the further request in the assigned projects
5. Setup of SOPs, policies & standards in cooperation with all stakeholders & creation of global standards.
6. Develop a methodology for KPIs and performance reporting in Qlik Sense, with the goal of improving data quality and enhancing transparency.
7. Constantly manage user feedback (internal and external), and lead user research and analysis to translate key findings into input that allows technical and product teams to deliver improvements
8. Lead user research and analysis, translating key findings into actionable items for product improvement
9. Initiate beta, pilot programs, and A/B testing initiatives on products
10. Align with the roll-out teams to ensure that the product is rolled-out successfully, and assist on implementing post roll-out support structures to ensure business continuity
Communication & Stakeholder Management
11. Constantly manage communication flows and feedback (internal and external)
12. Ensure all relevant teams are aligned on the Global product strategy
13. Create, manage, prioritize, and successfully communicate product projects and roadmaps to different stakeholders to ensure alignment and action
14. Ensure the on-time delivery of tasks in the implementation phase by making sure all the project’s requests from the business perspective are fully understood by the relevant teams
Team Management:
15. Ensure the team works at its best capabilities in terms of collaboration and work-dynamics
16. Assist team members when support is needed
17. Proactively solve and eliminate all the barriers or limitations to get tasks done.
18. Coordinating with colleagues across the diverse regions in the team.
Product & Project Improvement:
19. Constantly manage user feedback (internal and external) to ensure technical and product teams are delivering improvements based on real-world feedback
20. Implement post roll-out support structures to ensure business continuity
21. Lead user research and analysis, translating key findings into actionable items for product improvement
22. Initiate beta, pilot programs, and A/B testing initiatives on products
Exemption Type Exempt (Salaried) Job Requirements
Qualifications / Experience
23. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or similar.
24. 2-3 years of professional experience outside of an academic and internship setting, preferably ocean freight background in the logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain industry.
25. Certificates in PMP (Project Management Professional)/ CSM (Certified Scrum Master) is needed.
26. Experiences working with Jira and Confluence is a plus
27. Strong analytical skills
