About the Client This client is a leading rail logistics company operating across Europe, delivering innovative and sustainable freight solutions. With a strong presence in the Eurasian corridor, they are expanding their commercial team to strengthen their footprint in Central and Eastern Europe and beyond. Role Overview The Sales Manager will be instrumental in driving commercial growth across Central and Eastern Europe and Asia. The ideal candidate will bring a strong business development mindset, with a proven ability to identify and convert new opportunities while also nurturing long-term client relationships. This role requires a balance of strategic hunting and account retention, with a deep understanding of the rail logistics landscape. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute sales strategies for the Eurasian market, focusing on Central and Eastern Europe. Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities with a proactive, hunting-oriented approach. Build and maintain long-term partnerships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention. Manage and grow key accounts, delivering tailored solutions in collaboration with internal teams. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions. Represent the client at industry events, trade fairs, and client meetings across the region. Candidate Requirements Minimum 4 years of experience in a commercial or sales role within rail logistics, rail freight, rail carriers, or container logistics. Demonstrated success in business development, account management, and client retention. Fluent in German and English (spoken and written). Based in or willing to relocate to Brandenburg, Germany. Strong understanding of the Central and Eastern European logistics market; experience with Asia/Eurasia is a plus. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
