Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (m/w/d) based in Klipphausen, Gemany to oversee the end-to-end delivery of water treatment and industrial hook-up projects. You will ensure performance in terms of time, cost, quality, safety, and contractual compliance while leading cross-functional teams and managing key stakeholders across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
Job Requirements
* Degree in Engineering (e.g., Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Engineering) or comparable technical qualification
* Extended experience in project management of industrial plant, piping, or hook-up projects (€1–10M), including management of parallel projects
* Strong knowledge of industrial media supply systems (gas, chemicals, ultrapure media, etc.) and piping systems, including technical understanding of interfaces and plant integration
* Ability to interpret and work with technical drawings, piping layouts, and engineering documentation
* Strong expertise in budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and resource planning
* Experience in risk, contract, and claim management
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including leading project teams
* Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style
* Initial experience in the water treatment industry
* Proficient in MS Office and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
* Fluent in German (required) and English (beneficial)
* Willingness to travel within Germany & EMEA, depending on project requirements
* Valid Class B driver’s license
Job Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Stakeholder Management
* Manage all project stakeholders and interfaces across clients, engineering, procurement, installation teams, and subcontractors
* Act as the main point of contact for clients and ensure clear, transparent communication throughout all project phases
* Coordinate interfaces in industrial hook-up environments (media supply, piping systems, equipment integration)
Project Cost Control & Contract Management
* Own and drive project financial performance, ensuring achievement of gross margin and budget targets
* Develop, monitor, and control project budgets, costs, and forecasts
* Identify risks and opportunities and actively manage contract variations, claims, and change orders
Project & Resource Planning
* Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation across multiple parallel workstreams
* Ensure on-time delivery through proactive monitoring and coordination of all involved parties
Technical Project Management
* Coordinate engineering activities related to piping systems, media connections, and plant integration
* Clarify technical interfaces for pipelines, utility systems, and equipment hook-ups
* Participate in technical meetings and ensure compliance with contractual and technical requirements
Quality, Safety & Site Execution
* Oversee site activities including installation, hook-up, and construction work on industrial facilities
* Ensure strict HSE compliance and conduct safety and quality inspections on-site
* Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to project standards
* Support commissioning activities and ensure successful system integration and handover to the client
Project Monitoring & Reporting
* Track project progress, KPIs, milestones, and performance indicators
* Prepare and maintain project plans, progress reports, and technical documentation
* Provide structured reporting to internal and external stakeholders and drive continuous improvement
