Overview:
On behalf of our client, a growing pharmaceutical company based in Munich, we are seeking an experienced Operational Buyer to support day-to-day procurement activities and ensure the timely availability of materials critical to manufacturing and R&D operations. Key Responsibilities:
* Manage operational purchasing activities including purchase order creation, tracking, and supplier communication.
* Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods in line with production and project timelines.
* Monitor inventory levels and coordinate closely with supply chain, production, and quality teams.
* Support supplier performance management and resolve delivery or quality issues.
* Maintain accurate procurement data within ERP systems and ensure compliance with internal policies and GMP requirements.
* Assist in cost optimization initiatives and continuous improvement of procurement processes.
Requirements:
* Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 2–5 years of experience in operational procurement or purchasing, ideally within pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or a regulated manufacturing environment.
* Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and procurement workflows.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Fluent in English and German.
