Job Description
Who will you be working with?
You will work closely with cross-functional engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to drive the systematic revalidation of technical drawings across the organization. This role collaborates with design engineers, production experts, PLM administrators, and project stakeholders to ensure alignment on standards, documentation accuracy, and manufacturability. You will also engage with external partners such as suppliers and regulatory bodies during drawing validation and compliance reviews.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Engineering Operations group, you will lead a critical initiative to review, validate, and update technical drawings to ensure adherence to current manufacturing, regulatory, and industry standards. You will develop the project plan, coordinate cross-functional contributors, and serve as the central point of communication for all drawing-related updates. Your work ensures product integrity, reduces production risk, and improves documentation quality across the product lifecycle. You will regularly report progress, risks, and KPIs to senior engineering leadership.
What will your typical day look like?
* Lead project planning and prioritization by defining scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs for the drawing revalidation program.
* Review and validate technical drawings, ensuring compliance with current standards, manufacturability requirements, and documentation accuracy, in close collaboration with design and manufacturing teams.
* Coordinate cross-functional alignment between engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and external partners such as suppliers or regulatory bodies.
* Manage risks and engineering changes, including identifying documentation gaps, driving mitigation actions, and ensuring all updates are properly integrated into the PLM system.
* Maintain compliance and audit readiness by ensuring adherence to industry standards (EN, ISO, UNIFE RISL) and traceability of drawing revisions.
* Report project progress through regular updates, KPI tracking, and status reporting to senior engineering stakeholders.
* Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline validation processes, developing templates or standards, and capturing lessons learned for future projects.
