Our client is the largest insurance company in Germany, having a wide range of insurance services. They are looking for someone with 5 years of experience in procurement to fill the position of Category Manager for Facility and Real Estate. The major responsibilities and qualifications for the role are as follows. Responsibilities: Ensure the preparation and execution of tenders and the negotiation of commercial conditions and SLAs with service providers Create category strategies independently and continuously develop them Conduct negotiations with selected service providers and advise/supervise the departments, taking into account international company standards Work intensively with the departments as well as with international colleagues and initiate new projects to achieve corporate goals Be jointly responsible for achieving the Savings goals and other goals resulting from the specialist function Work closely with internal customers and thus strengthen the role of purchasing as a value-added partner for the departments Qualifications: You have a degree in economics, alternatively you are a fully qualified lawyer or business lawyer, business IT specialist or have a comparable education Building on this, you have already gained several years of professional experience in indirect strategic purchasing and have knowledge of the GDPR You have in-depth knowledge of the supplier/service provider market and the drafting of contracts with service providers and suppliers, and you will find creative and innovative procurement approaches You are characterised by high self-motivation, a process and goal-oriented way of working and analytical understanding You succeed in combining good communication skills, negotiation skills and assertiveness and you have a confident demeanour Very good knowledge of German and English If this role appeals to you and you think you can be a perfect candidate for the job, either send your CV directly at aymen@cogs-global.com.
