We are looking for a Category Manager (f/m/d) at our Office in Ratingen - join our team now!
You will be part of our Aftermarket Department and in particular responsible as leadership for one of our Product Management Teams as well as be responsible for the optimization of product categories and profitability.
Your Scope:
* You will assume professional and disciplinary leadership of the Product Management team, with a focus on fostering a collaborative work environment and aligning with company objectives.
* A key responsibility will be the continuous analysis of market trends, competitive activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for category expansion and optimization.
* You will be responsible for the development and implementation of category strategies to drive revenue growth, improve margins, and optimize the product portfolio in line with market trends and customer needs.
* Monitoring and reporting category performance using relevant data for data-driven decision-making and strategy adjustments, as well as defining KPIs and conducting performance reviews in sales, will be part of your duties.
* You will be responsible for product selection, lifecycle management, and product quality, as well as the creation of sales forecasts and ensuring an optimal product mix to maximize profitability.
What you should bring to the table:
* You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration / Marketing or Engineering.
* You bring at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in Category Management, Product Management, Project Management, or comparable positions, ideally within the Automotive Aftermarket.
* Initial experience in leading and mentoring a small team would be advantageous.
* You should possess sound knowledge of the Automotive Aftermarket, including market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
* As we primarily speak and write English within the team, this is a prerequisite for us (>/= C1); furthermore, strong English communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with customers, and with suppliers are essential.
* You bring advanced Excel skills and ideally experience with reporting tools (e.g., Tableau) for data analysis and visualization.
* Ability to analyze market data, sales trends, and performance metrics to develop and implement successful strategies.
