Sales Manager Germany South-West Location: Germany; Central & South-West (pref. Frankfurt area, Kaiserslautern, Stuttgart) – Fully remote. The role is to maximize sales and margin for all assigned Optical Communications products to the Enterprise Network market. This market includes optical‑based communication networks sold to businesses, governments, and individuals for their own use. Objectives for the Sales Manager Maximize sales and margin for all assigned Optical Communications products to the Enterprise Network market, primarily in the U.S. military, U.S. Federal business, and automotive industries in Germany, but also for other accounts in the allocated region, in both LAN‑ and data‑center applications. Generate leads and identify new opportunities, positioning and specifying solutions. Work closely with the U.S. Federal/U.S. military sales team and cooperate with other passive‑network sales colleagues in EMEA. Develop and maintain relationships with end users, data centers, LAN and distribution channels and installers. Develop and implement an account and territory plan and adjust sales techniques according to interactions and results in the field. Key Measures Meet or exceed budgeted sales levels for all products through regular sales calls to a targeted, balanced mix of end users, consultants, distributors and contractors generating a preference for Optical Communications products. Maintain positive customer relationships across key functional areas including appropriate executive action. Maintain and update account plans, opportunities and activities for the allocated region in the respective CRM database. Establish and maintain sufficient product knowledge of the Optical Communications products and their applications to recognize opportunities and communicate internally to achieve maximum advantage. Communicate competitive information obtained from all sources to specific product line managers, marketing and sales. Participate in nominated regional trade shows and conventions in the territory to promote Optical Communications solutions and support targeted distributor sales effort. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in telecoms, fiber optics or a similar engineering field. Three or more years of passive‑network equipment or fiber optics sales experience, preferably in the same industry, with a proven success rate at levels above sales quota. Strong technical, product and industry knowledge in Optical Communications and optical fiber. Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving and presentation skills. Very good German and fluent English language skills. High flexibility and willingness for 3 to 4 days of business travel per week. #J-18808-Ljbffr
