Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Utilities Sales Lead/Sr. Manager to spearhead our business development and sales efforts within the utilities sector. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry knowledge, a strong network of utility contacts, and a proven track record of selling complex solutions to utility companies. This role is pivotal in expanding our market presence, driving revenue growth, and positioning our offerings as essential solutions for the evolving energy and utilities landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

* Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within the utilities sector (electric, water, gas, renewable energy).
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in utility companies.
* Develop and execute a strategic sales plan tailored to the needs of utility clients.
* Lead end-to-end sales cycles, including prospecting, presentations, proposals, negotiations, and deal closure.
* Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, engineering, and customer success) to align solutions with customer needs.
* Provide market intelligence and feedback to help shape product development and marketing strategy.
* Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities.
* Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
* 15+ years of sales or business development experience, with at least 5 years focused on the utilities sector.
* Demonstrated success in consultative selling and managing long sales cycles.
* Deep understanding of the utilities industry, including current trends, regulatory environment, and key challenges.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to travel as needed (up to 50%).

Preferred Experience:

* Experience selling software, technology platforms, or infrastructure solutions to utility companies.
* Familiarity with smart grid, renewable energy, demand response, or energy efficiency solutions.
* Existing relationships with major utility companies.
